The rules

🏌️ The Format
2-Man Best Ball. Both players play their own ball on every hole, and your team takes the better (lower) of the two scores as your team score for that hole.

Play it out. Never pick up your ball unless both partners are clearly out of the hole. Gimmes within 3 ft — but if you think it's outside that, putt it out.

Recording scores. Write down your score minus any strokes you receive on that hole (your strokes are listed next to your name). Take the better score between you and your teammate — that's your team score.

How handicaps work. You take strokes off on the hardest-rated holes, up to your handicap number. Example: if your handicap is 10, you get a stroke off on the 10 hardest holes (rated 1–10 on the scorecard). If you're ever confused, just ask.

Two cards per group. Everyone keeps score within their group so we have two cards to cross-check in case of any discrepancies.

Play everything as a Hazard, if you hit the ball out off the tee or on any shot go drop a ball as close to the general area it went out and add a stroke to your score. NO Out of Bounds.

⛳ Tees & Course Setup

Play the White tees on every hole — except Hole 1 and every par 3, where you play the Blues.
Course plays to par 72.

💰 The Pot & Prizes

Buy-in: $25 per player, paid before your round via Venmo (@James-Guidi-6) or cash.
2nd place: money back ($25 each).
1st place: the rest of the pot ($350, split two ways) + JGBB Trophies.

Bonus prizes: Best Outfit, Worst Personal Score, and Best Photo of the Day.

🎯 Additional Ways to Score

👕 Clothing (strokes off)
Each team is assigned a color (listed next to your team name under Assignments). Every article of clothing you wear in that color = 1 stroke off your team score. The item must be primarily your team color to count.
Max 6 strokes off per player. Qualifying items:

Shirt
Shorts
Hat
Socks (two different socks = 2 strokes)
Shoes
Watch
Underwear
Headband
Wristband
Knee sleeves

🍺 Drinking → Mulligans
(I don't condone drinking and driving — get a ride.)

Every beer, seltzer, or shot counts toward mulligans. Every 2 drinks consumed by the team = 1 mulligan.
Either player can use the mulligan. You can stack them and use multiple on the same shot.
You must fully finish the drinks before the mulligan is earned — no using a mulligan until the team has finished two drinks.
Rule starts after your first tee shot. Track your drinks and mulligans on the scorecard.

Par 3 penalty: If no one in your group hits the green on a par 3, everyone finishes the drink they're on (these count toward mulligans).

Blow-up penalty: If anyone shoots a 10 straight up (no handicap), they take a shot or shotgun a beer. (Counts towards mulligans)

🎲 Additional Rules

Hole in one? Congratulations — it's now your birthday. 🎉

Get the cart girl's number: 2 strokes off your team score. (You cannot say it's for the tourney.)

Short tee shot: If your tee shot doesn't make it laterally past the ladies' tees, you must text your dad: "Sorry for the way I turned out."
